30/365: Domestic Duties

30 January 2010 4 Comments Disclosure

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday. Oh how you, Saturday, always seem to turn into a housework kind of a day. I’ve noticed a trend in my weeks since I began the 365 {Diva} days project. My Saturdays are usually spent cleaning!

30/365: Domestic Duties

One would think that Saturday would be a day to relax, unwind, and just chill. But nope. My Saturdays are usually spent in one room and one room only. The Kitchen. Sweeping, mopping, putting away goo-gobs of dishes with the constant hum of the dishwasher in the background are just some of the things that I am seen doing on a typical Saturday.

Saturdays are also a day that I do some baking. I figure: “hey since I’m in here and all might as well make a cake!” Since we are talking food. Most Saturday’s I like to utilize my crockpot in some sort of way to my advantage. That way while I’m in there cleaning I can also be cooking that nights supper as well which in turn keeps me out of the kitchen that night.

What do you do on a typical Saturday?

Do you relax or do housework? Watch movies or watch a cake rise in the oven?

@Laura….I refuse to go shopping on weekends, it always seems like that is when everyone else is doing their busy work too so I try to stay busy at home. You are a brave, brave person to tackle the Saturday madness.

@Shelly….glad I’m not the only one using my weekends as cleaning days. But why is it we take all this time to clean and the next 5 minutes it gets messed up again?
