28/365: The Glow of the Movie Screen

28 January 2010 4 Comments Disclosure

Tonight I decided to take a relaxing night off and enjoy watching a movie with my family. First I watched a movie with the kidlets then began watching a movie (read: chick flick) by myself to which hubby eventually joined me in completing.

28/365: Movie Lover

My husband typically is not the man to sit down and watch a chick flick with me. He just can’t bring himself to do it, he says. I do remember a time though when he would willingly watch a “girl movie” with me but I suppose those days have come and gone. It was a pleasant surprise though to have him actually sit and watch a movie with me and it actually be something that I wanted to see. Maybe I can convince him to do it more often, but then again I won’t hold my breath on that one.
After the movie was over, I asked his opinion. He said “it was a typical girl movie”. LOL spoken like a man. But for someone that isn’t into “girl movies” he sure was asking a lot of questions during it which makes me believe he was more into it than he is letting on.

When was the last time you watched a movie with your significant other? What did you see?

We just watched All About Steve together the other night. It was good, but not quite as good as I hoped.

We really liked The Proposal though. It is freaking hilarious!

We don’t have the time to watch movies together very often anymore, which is very sad, and when we do, I’ve been trying to get him to give the show Big Love more of a chance, but he hates it. The last movie we really sat down and watched together, I think, was He’s Just Not That Into You. He cried. I laughed and made fun of him for weeks. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t like watching girly movies with me anymore!

@Jacklyn….I loved the Proposal. I’m going to ask hubby to watch a girl’s movie with me as a gift for our Anniversary. Wonder if he will go for it?
