Holidays are at Starbucks

1 December 2009 8 Comments Disclosure

Starbucks Holidays are here!Recently a rep for Starbucks contacted me to let me know that Holiday drinks have finally arrived at Starbucks stores all across the country. With the giftcard provided to me by Starbucks I went out and visited my local Starbucks for a little treat for the holidays. One might remember me tweeting my Starbucks run one morning.

Holidays are the best time to visit Starbucks in my opinion because I really love their holiday drinks. This year they are offering 3 holiday specific drinks: Caramel Brulee’ Latte, Peppermint Mocha, and Gingerbread Latte. My favorite each and every year is the Peppermint Mocha. Hot or cold this drink is fabulous either way. I like the mix of coffee, peppermint, and chocolate. Very festive drink and something I look forward to around this time of year.

Another thing that I look forward to around this time of year is the release of Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend coffee. I always buy a big bag of it to use at home for my morning latte’s which will last me well into the new year. I hope to give the Christmas Blend a taste sometime soon as well.

Besides the festive holiday blends and delicious holiday drinks, there is one thing I love most about a trip to Starbucks during the holidays is going out with friends. I recently met up with my best friend at a Starbucks near her house to catch up on “girl talk”.

Something about meeting up with a best friend over good coffee is a total winner in my book. Starbucks days with friends are always my favorites. Often times when my friends and I don’t know what to get each other for the holidays then we will just schedule several coffee “dates” where one or the other of us will pay for each others drinks. We get quality time with friends and free drinks if it is our day to be “treated”. Its like a tradition with my friends and I. Love our coffee “dates”.

Starbucks date with my Best friend. Trying the new Starbucks Via. Insulated Cold Beverage Tumbler with Peppermint Mocha Frapp. inside...YUM!Also on our recent coffee adventure, while I was waiting for my friend to arrive I spotted this adorable cold beverage tumblr and Starbucks VIA which is Starbucks version of instant coffee. I quickly grabbed both. Upon check out the barista asked if I wanted my Peppermint Mocha Frapp. with no whip in the cup that I was purchasing….of course, I said with excitement. So that day I got my holiday drink in my “cool cup”. Of course my friend was joking around with me about my cup but I love it and use it practically everyday at home for my version of a cold coffee beverage.

As for the Starbucks VIA, I’ve been excited to try this out for a while now. I am so glad that stores in my area have finally gotten the opportunity to start selling it. It is a bit expensive but for trips out of town I could totally see using these handy little packets of coffee to get my Starbucks fix when there is no Starbucks to be found. Find out more about Starbucks VIA here.

Also something that is really cool that is worth mentioning is that the Starbucks giftcard that the representative for the company actually sent me was a mini-card which was actually designed by a fashion designer by the name of Christian Siriano. Its an ubber cute card that fits perfectly on my keychain. I like the Starbucks cards because I can easily reload them online. This is my “starbucks allowance” for the month.

I’m 8 months pregnant and I’m still drinking coffee. Starbucks is the best. I hate coffee anywhere else. I’ve been drinking Cinnamon Dolce Latte with Banana Nut loaf. The best!!!
