About a month back I had the fabulous opportunity to go to a pre-store opening for AJWright in Lithonia, GA, but haven’t been able to blog about it until now due to some blog issues (sorry about that, we are all fixed now and ready to blog). When the representatives for AJWright contacted me about attending the event, I couldn’t help but say yes. I love shopping and I love discounted stores.

AJWright is in the same family as TJMaxx and Marshalls, to which I’ve already had the fun opportunity of talking about. The way the representative explained it to me is like this: in terms of prices between the three stores, TJMaxx would be more expensive and AJWright would be more budget friendly. But if you ask me all 3 stores are definitely in my budget since they all have one thing in common, they are significantly less than what one would pay at a department store.
The event itself was fabulous, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jolly Mom, The Divine Miss Mommy, Fashiona’s Musings, Luxe Tips, Mom of 2 Boys, Wife of 1, and Secret Agent Mama. But meeting these fabulous women bloggers wasn’t the plan, the plan was to shop!
With the giftcard provided by AJWright, the bloggers and I were let loose in the store to shop till we dropped. My whole goal in mind was to find several cute pieces/outfits and stay within my $100 budget. I combed through the racks, finding fabulous deals after deals, visited the shoe and purse department more than one occasion before I ever put a single item into my basket. What direction was I going in, what kind of items did I want? I wasn’t too sure but I knew that AJ Wright had really, REALLY cute stuff and the price tags nearly blew me away…very affordable.
As you may see in the photos above, I had an absolute blast shopping. I found some really great deals. Can you believe that I didn’t pay over $20 for a single item that I got, including shoes & handbags! My favorite part of the store was definitely accessories. I am a purse lover and felt in heaven combing through the aisles of vibrantly colored handbags. After I was done shopping and already checked out, I followed hung out with Secret Agent Mama because I wasn’t ready to make the two hour trip back home just yet. Amongst our chats, ooo’s and ahhhh’s over various items in the store, I saw the sunglasses! Eek! I squealed inside with glee, I heart sunglasses and believe you can never have too many pairs, *cough cough* just like handbags *end cough*. $2.99!! Seriously, the best deal I’ve ever found for sunglasses, anywhere.
Seriously, I could go on and on about this store about how awesome their shoe section was where I got those killer plaid wedges and red stilettos or how I fell in love with just about everything in the clothing department but managed to stick to my budget. I will tell you this though, my mother and I recently took another two hour trip just to visit AJWright. We were supposed to be looking for something for me to wear to my brother’s wedding but instead I found these perfect purple flats that I’ve been searching for what seems like forever.
Do I love AJWright? Yes. So much so that I have named it one of my favorite stores. I just wish that there was one closer to home, not two hours away but I am thankful that I got the opportunity to experience the pre-store opening and look forward to
more trips up there as often as I can.
