Moved In

5 March 2007 4 Comments Disclosure

Well we are pretty much moved into our new home. I’m still in shock over all the room that we have. 1900 square feet!!! That is a ton of space. All that is left to unpack are some random junk boxes. These boxes are filled with random nick-nacks. I hate going through boxes that are just a bunch of random stuff. It always seems like it takes so much longer to unpack them.

Anyways, the empty house is now becoming more and more like a home. We still do not have the internet hook up at our new house so I can’t show ya’ll pictures yet. But they will be coming soon. Promise.

I’m currently at my folks house till Wednesday. I came over here today to stay a couple of days to help my mother clean out my grandmother’s house. We have to go through all of her old things and keep what we want to keep then decide if we will give the other stuff away or sell it in the estate sale [yard sale]. Its going to really suck seeing someone else live in my grandmother’s house. She has lived in that house for what seems like forever. I’ve never known her in another house. To see someone else there will just be really weird. We start the cleaning tomorrow. I’m sure it is going to be extremely hard on my mother. I’m just glad that I will be the one to be there for her.

I took my grandmother’s death pretty hard. Harder than I even imagined I would. It will be nice to have some of her old furniture and stuff in my house to remember her by. I’m so blessed to have a larger house now to be able to take in some of her old things. I’m pretty much cried out at this point and have reached the numb stage of grieving.

If this post seems off centered and not very focused it is because my brain has kinda stopped working between the death and moving. I’m extremely tired and just completely drained.

I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your grandma. My grandma passed away when I was expecting my first son, and I was so sorry she didn’t get a chance to meet him or my other two boys. She loved boys, and she would have been so pleased to know that I ended up with three of them.

We were fortunate that my brother and sister and their families were able to buy Grandma’s house after she passed away, so many of her great-grandchildren lived in her house when they went to university. It was nice that it stayed in the family.

I hope a good family is found for your grandma’s home.

And enjoy your new home. It sounds fabulous!
