Oh I remember the days of Cabbage Patch Kids. Those care free days just me and my Cabbage Patch Doll. Do you remember days like these? Did you have a Cabbage Patch Doll when you were a child? What did she look like?
Did you know that Cabbage Patch Dolls are just as old as I am? Yep, that is right. Cabbage Patch Dolls came out in 1983, the same year in which I was born. That makes Cabbage Patch Kids 25 years old this year!
What I love about Cabbage Patch Kids is that they are all unique, born especially for you. Speaking of Cabbage Patch Kids being born, there is an actual Cabbage Patch called BabyLand General Hospital in our state where you can go and see the Cabbage Patch Kids being “born”. Every so many minutes a new Cabbage Patch Kid is born and you have the opportunity of adopting them right there on the spot. Visiting the Cabbage Patch Kids “Hospital” was such a joyful experience for me as a child. I have very fond memories of BabyLand General Hospital. It is such a cute place to visit as a little girl. I remember wanting to adopt a Cabbage Patch Doll so badly the day of our visit.
Reliving the memories I have of Cabbage Patch Kids are just as enjoyable for me as it would be for a little girl to create her own with these new Limited Edition Cabbage Patch Kids. Look for these new CPK’s at local toy stores, online, or at BabyLand!!! More information about Cabbage Patch Kids can be found at the special 25th anniversary website!

Being a mom it is part of my job description to wipe kidlet bottoms all day long. Come on Moms, you know what I’m talking about let’s not be discrete here. Before when my three year old used to go potty, I would use wet wipes to clean him up but now I’m switching to Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam.
Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam uses ordinary toilet paper and makes it a powerful cleaning tool. With one squirt of the Toilet Paper Foam on your toilet paper, you are able to clean your most sensitive areas more effectively with no sticky or wet feeling after wards. Since discovering and using Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam in our own home, it has made potty breaks a much better experience. My son actually enjoys using his special toilet paper foam and I like that it leaves him clean.
One of the main reason why we have switched from wet wipes to Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam is because of the lack of waste. We had a really hard time with wet wipes and their flushability. Many of the wipes that we have tried claimed to be flushable but several months into using the product we would have a real mess on our hands plumbing wise so that in and of itself is a great reason to switch from wet wipes to Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam because it requires nothing more than ordinary toilet paper to be used.
Check out Aaah! Toilet Paper Foam’s Website to find out how you can get a one month supply for just the cost of shipping + handling.

With children going back to school, many of us Moms are looking for some healthier alternatives to add to their lunch boxes. Sodas are out of the question, and some juice boxes are just as bad, so what is a Mom to do? Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk, 8-ounce Cartons is a great alternative to sugary sodas and juice boxes. In cute 8-ounce Cartons, these “milk boxes” can go anywhere making them ultra portable and convenient. Milk on the go? Sure, why not!
Horizon Organic Single Serve Milk comes in a variety of flavors from regular, chocolate, strawberry, and my personal favorite Vanilla! Let me just tell you that the Horizon Organic Vanilla Single Serve Milk tastes like melted ice cream, it is so creamy and delicious. This milk tastes more like dessert versus something that is actually good for you. With so many hormones and pesticides out there today, why wouldn’t you try to go Organic whenever possible?
Next to water, Horizon Organic Milk is the next best thing to pack in any kids lunch box!
Look for Horizon Organic Milk products in the Organic Section of your local grocery store or you can buy it online at stores like Amazon.com.

Baby Mama is such a good movie to see. I went and saw this as part of my “MOM Day” back in May when it just hit the theater. Like I stated before this movie isn’t AS funny as I had anticipated it being but it was still overall a good movie and a movie that will definitely lift your spirits after a long day of watching the kidlets. This is what they call a “chick flick” but I would totally call it a “mom flick” in honor of the “MOM Day” I had back in May. You know what? I should start that “Mom Day” thing back up again, but that is another issue on another day.
If you haven’t seen this movie, then you are missing out!
Want to create your own “Mom Movie Day” at home? Baby Mama hits stores this coming Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Buy it, Rent it, Watch it! Schedule just one day this month totally dedicated to you, the hard-working Mom. Enjoy whatever you want to do, watch a movie, read a book…it’s your Day do what you want with it!

Before you know it the leaves will begin to change and the air outside will start to cool. Fall is on its way. The hustle and bustle of family holidays are on our heels as well as so many memories that we are about to experience. Before the leaves change, and the ground is blanketed with white fluffy stuff, why not introduce the concepts of Winter to your child early through a fun DVD like Caillou: Caillou’s Winter Wonders.
Caillou for our family is a fun character that we all enjoy watching together. The character Caillou and my son are around the same age. My son enjoys learning new things through this favorite show. In Caillou’s Winter Wonders your child will learn about Snowmen, Christmas, and playing Outdoors in the Cold Winter. It is fun to watch Caillou try new things which in turn will encourage your child to do the same come this winter.
Caillou: Caillou’s Winter Wonders will come to life on DVD starting September 23, 2008! It is never too early to start thinking of the holidays, I know many kids would love to see this movie in their stockings this year!

Grey’s Anatomy is perhaps my absolute favorite show. I countdown the days every season until the season premier, then each week count down the days until I get to watch a new episode. I think I’m borderline obsessed with this show. I mean with a character called McDreamy and looks to die for, who wouldn’t watch this show?
Now that Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Fourth Season is about to hit the DVD shelves, you bet I’ll be having a “Mommy Movie Night” to catch up on all the important details from last season before this year’s premier. Season Four was such a good season with all kinds of dirt, lies, and love.
If you are a Grey’s Anatomy fan, you’ll definitely want to get this for your DVD collection. I don’t know about you, but I could watch McDreamy all day!
Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Fourth Season will be available on DVD September 9, 2008. Mark the Calendar, Save the Date, and RUSH to the store to pick up your own copy!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Storybook Surprises is a fun, interactive DVD that recently hit store shelves September 2, 2008. Many children today are growing up in a world void of the classic, fun-loving character, Mickey Mouse. Now you can introduce your child to a piece of the “magic” with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. What I love most about the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse series is that it likes to engage your child in the story by asking them questions.
Mickey’s Storybook Surprises takes classic fairy tales we all know and adds a little twist to them that I’m sure you’ll love. This is one of my son’s favorite DVD’s to watch along side Tigger & Friends. Like I said, this DVD has already hit store shelves, make sure you pick up your copy soon!

Someone commented on the photo above wanting to know what my secret was to creating this shot and the lens used. The lens that I used to take this photo is my new Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD macro 1:2 lens that my father bought for me on my birthday.
With this lens I do not have to get right up on the subject that I am taking a photo of, I can be a good distance away from it (or across the yard) if I would like. At the time of taking this photo it had just rained, the clouds parted and sunshine began to shine. I quickly grabbed my camera and began taking photos of the flowers and plants that were in my yard. I wanted to capture nature at its finest, untouched. I swear to you I had no way of arranging those water droplets in that manner, that is the way that they sat upon the leaf of our rose bush.
If you can’t capture a photo right after it rains, you can take a spray bottle with some water on it and mist whatever subject you would like to take a photo of. And as always it is a good idea to adjust the brightness and contrast in a photo editing program to get your photos to really pop and stand out. Just doing some minor tweaking by adjusting the brightness and contrast on an image can really bring an ordinary everyday photo to life.

My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Hundred Acre Wood Haunt is a new adventure with Tigger, Pooh, Darby, and all of your favorite Hundred Acre Wood Pals. With Fall knocking at the back door and Halloween just around the corner, this DVD would be a great one to add to your kidlet’s personal collection. Anyone that loves Pooh and Friends will want to see this DVD for sure.
I love the turn that Winnie the Pooh has taken in creating the “Super Slueth” characters. My son loves this idea as well as he proudly proclaims on a daily basis that he is, in fact, a “Super Slueth”. This DVD interact with your child by asking them questions to solve the mystery. There are several mysteries to solve in this exciting DVD like conquering the fear of thunder and lighting.
My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Hundred Acre Wood Haunt hit DVD stores on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. So grab up your copy today!!!
